Philosophy Professor Wins Research Incentive Award

Dr. Stephen Fiore, Professor of the Philosophy Department, has won a 2017 UCF Research Incentive Award. This award encourages faculty to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their field, and also recognizes "faculty contributions to UCF's key goal of achieving international prominence in research and creative activities."

Dr. Fiore is the Director of the Cognitive Sciences Program at the UCF Institute for Simulation and Training. His research focuses primarily on human and team cognition, specifically complex collaborative cognition and human social interaction. Dr. Fiore is currently working on a volume examining "multi-level measurement issues in team cognition that range from neuroscience to network sciences," and his work has received funding from the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, and NASA (Fiore & Salas, in development).
