Hotep! is the AAS Program newsletter. It is available in print, from the AAS offices, or online at the above URL. The term "Hotep" is a Khemetic term most often used as a greeting in peace.
African-American Student Union

The African American Student Union at the University of Central Florida was founded in 1969. The AASU serves as an official voice for the African-American community at the university.
"Hip-Hop in the American Culture"
A new course, "Hip-Hop in the American Culture," was approved and will be offered for the first time in Fall 2004. The course was requested by Dr. Kurt Young.
