There are many ways to make your gift, ranging from online giving to including the College of Arts and Humanities in your estate plans. Whichever method you choose, you may give an unrestricted gift to be used for an area of greatest need, or you may designate your support to a specific program or college. Giving can take the following forms:
Annual Giving
The UCF Fund is dedicated to enriching the lives of UCF students. Investing in UCF through the annual giving allows you to truly make a difference in the lives of today’s students. Its fundraising efforts secure the largest source of unrestricted funds designated to support the university. Annual gifts are used to reward talented and promising students with scholarship opportunities, honor the accomplishments of dedicated faculty, modernize labs and classrooms with state-of-the-art resources, administer notable research and outreach programs, and much more.
Endowed Funds
Endowed funds ensure long-term academic excellence by providing consistent support in perpetuity. The university invests these funds and the college uses the interest earned to support the program as designated by the donor. Endowment funds also provide donors with the opportunity to link their name, or that of a family member or friend, to the College of Arts and Humanities in perpetuity. By creating an endowed fund, you ensure your legacy will continue for generations to come. Endowment funds may be created in a variety of ways, including gifts of cash or appreciated stock, real estate or trusts. It is also possible to create an endowed fund through a pledge payable over five years.
Planned Gift
A planned gift incorporates philanthropy with estate and financial planning to benefit both you and CAH. Planned gifts include life income gifts, retained life estate gifts, life insurance and retirement gifts, outright gifts of assets and bequests. Learn more about planned giving.
Honorary and Memorial Gifts
Giving in honor of someone or memorializing an individual is a wonderful way to give back and showcase the legacy individuals have left through their beneficial actions.
Matching Gifts
Does your company participate in an employee gifts program? Some employers even match gifts from their retirees. You could double or even triple your gift to CAH by submitting a company matching form along with your gift.
Gifts-in-Kind
Gifts-in-kind are an excellent way to support the College of Arts and Humanities while reaping substantial tax benefits. Gifts are items of tangible personal property such as real estate, art, books, computer equipment or automobiles. Gifts are recorded at fair market value.
Payroll Deduction (UCF Faculty and Staff)
UCF employees have the opportunity to support UCF and CAH through payroll deduction. Just $10 per check becomes $260 in a year. What’s more, your payroll deduction comes from pre-taxed dollars.
